See below for the latest from US National Weather Service Tallah…assee Florida and US National Weather Service Mobile Alabama: ? A Flash Flood WATCH will continue throughout this evening. Walton County is at a MODERATE risk (20-50%) for excessive rainfall and significant flooding is possible, specifically within South Walton County. ?Expect to see multiple rounds of heavy rain through Wednesday. An additional 1-3 inches with isolated higher totals will continue through today. Within the last three days, areas in Walton County have received up to 8 inches of rain, causing localized flooding on our roadways. ? Significant flooding is possible in South Walton County, with widespread and significant flash flooding likely. The heavy rain combined with saturated soils will result in the potential for flash flooding. ? Strong winds and a brief tornado will be POSSIBLE for today, due to the amount of instability and shear in the atmosphere. Today, we are expecting a MARGINAL risk for severe storms throughout the Western Panhandle. ? For those who have the potential for structure flooding, sandbags are available at the Blue Mountain Beach District 5 Road Office, located on Highway 83. ?
