City of FWB Joins Hurricane Ida Relief Effort
The City of Fort Walton Beach is working with Damien Callais, local realtor and Louisiana native, and other area organizations on Operation Serve to provide relief items to those affected by Hurricane Ida in Louisiana. Beginning today, Sept. 1, at 3 p.m., a storage trailer will be at Fort Walton Beach City Hall (107 Miracle Strip Parkway SW) where volunteers will accept donations. Look for the Mayflower truck. Times are listed below. Donations can be dropped off through Sunday, Sept. 5, at 4 p.m. All donations will be taken to a distribution center in Amite City, LA, for distribution to the following parishes: Jefferson, Orleans, Lafourche, St. John the Baptist, and St. Bernard.
- September 1 from 3-8 p.m.
- September 2-4 from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
- September 5 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
