SoWal is st…ill dealing with life-threatening rip currents and surf conditions on Thursday morning. Lifeguards are flying double red flags to indicate the hazards. This means the water is closed to swimmers and boogie boarders. Violating the county ordinance and entering the water under these conditions can result in $500 fines and/or criminal charges. Respect the lifeguards, follow the rules, understand that we have no control over the Gulf and the weather. We’ll continue to evaluate conditions and keep you updated with changes.
